Installing firmware and updates to T10xx camera
===============================================
You might have received a software update to install into a FLIR "T1K" camera
(i.e T1040 and similar models)

For .zip file containing an "upd*" folder, the procedure described here applies.

The .zip file could be used together with "FLIR Tools" and assisted install.
However, if not having access to a later version of "FLIR tools" or otherwise
like to use a more basic approach, read the text below and carefully follow the
described procedure.

1. Check that .zip file contains a sub folder named upd_<something>.
Inside this folder there is a few files, one of them is named "update.ful"
If this is the case, the procedure in this text should be valid.

2. Extract the .zip file to a (temporary) folder on your PC

3. Make sure that you have a SDcard reader/writer usable from your PC
You might use the T1K camera itself as a SDcard reader/writer using a USB
   connection.
Check that camera SDcard (or a local SDcard) is activated as a drive letter.
   Then continue

4. Copy the sub folder named upd_<something> to the root of a SDcard
   (FAT or FAT32 formatted).
At the SDcard drive, copy <sd-root>\upd_<update_name>\update.ful to
   <sd-root>\update.ful
(use windows explorer or copy commands of your liking)

5. Erase ev. existing <sd-root>\update.don file

6A. (Separate SDcard reader)
Eject SDcard in a controlled way. On windows, select system tray icon in
   lower right corner.
There is (should be) a small icon resembling a USB connector. (hovering
with mouse over it shows: "Safely remove hardware and remove media").
You might need to first click a small ^ symbol to show system tray icons.
(Left) click icon, wait for a menu and select "eject" for the drive letter
   corresponding to the SDcard.
Insert SDcard into your T1K camera, and the camera will start updating
   itself.
You should see a dialog on LCD within a few seconds where you are requested
   to confirm update

6B. (Using T1K USB connected camera as SDcard reader)
For USB connected SDcard, you will probably have a selection "Eject" if you
right click on the SDcard drive letter
   In windows explorer. Select "eject".
Make sure that disk eject is successful
Remove USB cable from camera. and the camera will start updating itself.
You should see a dialog on LCD within a few seconds where you are requested
   to confirm update

7. If you do not see any feedback within 10-15 seconds, check if you still
   have any reponse on buttons/touch.
If you have a response (standard menu system working), try to eject and
   reinsert the SDcard once more.
Note that "old" currently running camera software might fail to show any
   user feedback during update.
For such a camera, leave it for a few minutes (5?) before doing anything
   more

8. Follow instructions on LCD, or just wait until timeout automatically does a
   selection for you.
(but see short discussion on "old" camera software in 7.)

9. Depending of update type, you might need to power cycle an extra time
manually to fully activate the performed update.

Re-use of update in multiple cameras:
When update is finished (or aborted), this is marked on SDcard by the camera
software creating a file; "update.don" on SDcard root.
If you want to reuse the update, you need to remove this file before inserting
the SDcard into a camera to update again.
You may also side switch of the SDcard into "write protect" prior to inserting
card into a camera.
